How can I manage Perk Alerts from my mobile app?

Modified on Wed, 20 Sep 2017 at 04:35 PM

Perk Alerts are push notifications sent to your phone from the Abenity mobile app to alert you of nearby discount offers so you can get the most of your perks membership! Each member has the ability to easily control the Perk Alerts they receive as push notifications to their mobile phone.

Turning on Perk Alerts

When you access the Abenity app for the first time, you will be asked if you would like to enable push notifications. You'll also be asked to set your location by entering your zip code.

If you initially chose to not enable push notifications for the Abenity App, you can adjust this at any time by adjusting the notification settings for the Abenity app through your phone's 'Settings' app. If you do this and still aren't receiving Perk Alerts, be sure to check your phone's 'Settings' app to ensure you've enabled Location Access for the Abenity app there as well.

Managing Perk Alerts

If you ever need to adjust the Perk Alerts you're receiving, you can do this easily right through the Abenity app. To start, open the Abenity app on your phone, open the Menu panel on the left side, and tap 'My Account.'

Under the 'My Account' section, you can adjust your location settings by tapping 'Location,' or Perk Alert settings by tapping the 'Settings' tab. Within the 'Settings' tab, you can adjust which of the primary 14 discount categories you receive Perk Alerts for.

If you need to turn off the Perk Alerts on your Abenity mobile app at any point, you can do this from the 'Settings' tab in the 'My Account' section of the menu in your Abenity app.
